Whole Grain Personal Pizzas
I love pizza. I think that there is something so satisfying about a crispy crust and gooey cheese and savory veggies. I want the ease of pizza delivery on a Friday night but without the white bread and dripping grease.
I can practically hear you groaning through the computer screen. “I don’t want to give up my Friday night pizza! It’s a tradition! I won’t let it go!”
I have good news, friends. We don’t have to give it up! These English muffin pizzas give you all of the flavors of your favorite slice while still maintaining a solid nutritional footing. I use whole grain, sprouted English muffins. These babies are so much healthier than traditional crust. They digest slower than processed white flours, to keep you fuller for longer.
They can be packed with excess sugar. Make sure that you read the labels carefully when you’re in the grocery store. You could also use fresh pesto or even a cream sauce if you’re feeling extra indulgent.
Speaking of the oven, pop these little loves in there for 5 - 8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Begin by preheating the oven to 400 degrees. Split the English muffin in half. Spread marinara sauce on both sides and add cheese. Top with your favorite veggies. Pop into the preheated oven and cook for 5 - 8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
